And the winners are...2003 Revised Oscars
Tuesday Dec 02, 2025
Tuesday Dec 02, 2025
I took a deep dive into 2003, along with special guests Jen and Sarah from Movies & Us, and after the episode we turned the voting over to you, the people!
We agreed with the Academy on one winner (Charlize Theron in Lead Actress for Monster), so only five categories went to the social media polls for you, the listeners to decide on.
The voting has concluded and it's time to share the results and officially add these winners to the coveted Revisionist's Almanac.
With this episode cycle completed, we turn our attention to episode twenty-four, where I was joined by a first-time guest - Frank Mandosa from Reels of Cinema Podcast - to dissect the year 1973 (The Sting winning Best Picture). This episode will release on Friday, December 5th.
Thanks for checking out the voting results and be sure to subscribe to the channel and rate/review the show!

Friday Nov 28, 2025
Last season, we created twelve Revised Best Picture winners in the episodes covered, one of those being Saving Private Ryan back in 1998.
This Steven Spielberg film is a seminal piece of work in the war film genre.
Over the course of this episode, you'll hear these contributors talk about their relationship to the film, what their Mt. Rushmore of war films is, if they think this deserved Best Picture over Shakespeare in Love, and much more. Enjoy!

Industry Interview: Emphysema Poetry w/ Sam Davis (Director of The Singers)
Wednesday Nov 26, 2025
Wednesday Nov 26, 2025
I had the chance to sit down with the incredibly talented Sam Davis, director of the Oscar-qualified short film The Singers (2025).
We discussed his background in cinematography, his work on films like Didi (2024), the unusual but ingenious approach he took adapting a 19th century Russian short story using first-time actors found on the internet, and much more.

Tom and Dana Duncan over at The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast have assembled a slew of podcast voices and content creators to each submit a list of their personal Top 50 best movies - and once those lists were submitted, they used a ranked points system to determine what are the BEST movie ever made.
Alongside their weekly releases of the 120 movies on the official Cinema Legacy Poll list, I asked others that submitted lists to share some of what they picked, why they picked those films, and then I give a bit of my feedback about some of their selections.
