Top 10 Director Ranking (Yorgos Lanthimos)
Wednesday Oct 29, 2025
Wednesday Oct 29, 2025
Yorgos Lanthimos' Bugonia (2025) is releasing this week, and I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to look back on the filmography of one of my favorite contemporary filmmakers.
I went through and ranked my favorite Yorgos films- reminder, these are my favorites and NOT what I think are his objectively best films.
Do you agree or disagree with my list? What does your Yorgos Lanthimos ranking look like? You can DM me on any of the social media pages @RevAlmanac or email me at revisionistalmanac@yahoo.com.

And the winners are...1982 Revised Oscars
Monday Oct 27, 2025
Monday Oct 27, 2025
I took a deep dive into 1982, along with special guests Tom and Dana Duncan from The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast, and after the episode we turned the voting over to you, the people!
We couldn't agree with the Academy on any winners, so all six categories went to our social media polls for you, the listeners to decide on.
The voting has concluded and it's time to share the results and officially add these winners to the coveted Revisionist's Almanac.
With this episode cycle completed, we turn our attention to episode twenty-three, where I was joined by two first-time guests - Jennifer Han and Sarah Callen from Movies & Us - to dissect the year 2003 (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King winning Best Picture). This episode will release on Friday, November 7th.
Thanks for checking out the voting results and be sure to subscribe to the channel and rate/review the show!

Friday Oct 24, 2025
Friday Oct 24, 2025
Tom and Dana Duncan over at The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast have assembled a slew of podcast voices and content creators to each submit a list of their personal Top 50 best movies - and once those lists were submitted, they used a ranked points system to determine what are the BEST movie ever made.
Alongside their weekly releases of the 120 movies on the official Cinema Legacy Poll list, I wanted to share my own top 50 and why I selected the movies I did.

I also explain what will be coming up over the five-part series, where I'll be going through the 50 biggest omissions that didn't make either list.
